@@yeeeeehawwwwwwThere are some RUclips videos that explains the nutty putty tragedy but basically it’s a guy who got stuck in an unfortunate position. This situation was extremely helpless in the sense that even the rescuers couldn’t help at all so he ended up dying in that cave but his body was so stuck that they decided to leave his cadaver in this cave and it became his tomb.
I watch this every time I’m stressed out… it makes me realize how bad things actually could be, I could be stuck in tight ass cave! It always makes me feel better
More than happy to explore caves through your videos from the comfort of my living room 😅 Looks amazing, but the is no way I’d ever be able to try this for myself
I watch so many RUclips vids of people who die in caving. This is the first normal caving experience I’ve had online. Incredible! I couldn’t do it myself but love to see people follow their passion❤
As a claustrophobic, I watch these videos as a form of exposure therapy. And despite knowing that I am not the one stuck in a cave, it still makes my heart race and fills me with anxiety nevertheless. At 8:46, I had to pause the video and take a few deep breaths before resuming. That was almost too much to bear. Seeing him wedged like that, crawling under a 7in gap. NOPE NOPE NOPE!Im out! 😱
I'm gonna be the assh**e here. This is fascinating to watch and certainly makes me feel claustrophobic. I understand the desire for adventure and discovery and it's your life to live the way you want. If you get stuck though other people then have to risk their lives to get you out, usually at the cost of thousands of dollars also. Some team of rescuers will have to spend time in dangerous conditions, risking their lives, away from their families to rescue someone who deliberately put themselves in unnecessary danger.
They aren't "deliberately" putting themselves into danger. The entire point of being a professional caver is that you do all the right things to stay out of danger. Your kind of logic can be applied to just about anything or anyone. If a cop gets wounded in a firefight, is he selfish for putting others at risk to recover him? If an unstable building collapses upon a construction worker is he selfish for "deliberately" being in danger and putting rescuers in danger, too? No, that's ridiculous. Rescuers signed up for that job. And often times areas full of caves have rescuers with caving experience for that reason. They aren't going to show up and berate those stuck in a cave. They're there to help because they want to help.
@@MintyLime703 Those are false equivalencies. Many professional cavers have died waiting for assistance and have also got rescue team members killed. Cops are required and they know what they sign up for. Construction workers are obviously required as well. Cave exploring is not required. They're deliberately putting themselves in danger, even though they don't recognize it.
@@MintyLime703 cops and construction workers provide value to society. Exploring caves is a hobby. I like these videos and all but they could at least lay down markers and some line and NOT go into flooding caves.
@@MintyLime703That's bad logic. Cops serve a purpose in society, they protect people, firefighters protect you when a fire breaks out which most of the time is out of your control. Exploring a dangerous cave though is in your control and by exploring this you're not providing anything of value to anything or anyone, it's just a stupid and dangerous hobby.
Wow, awesome. I am super claustrophobic but I love cave exploration (with cool fossils and geology) when I know I am safe at home 😅 Thank you for posting these videos, this is so interesting. I am amazed how calm you are! While almost stuck: "ooh a fossil!" Haha, you guys are great 👍👍👍
Just the way he died is so disturbing. Trapped and ensealed and then dying upside down. Poor guy didnt even get a proper burial and was left there in such a stressed position, may God bless his soul at least he is in peace now.
I went into the nutty putty cave twice, a few years before he died. Just getting into the cave was nearly impossible without turning your head sideways and exhaling. When I went, the bottom half of the entrance hole was full of water.
Made me cry and I am usually not one to get like that I hope he is resting peacefully and his children are living good lives seeing happy family pictures of their dad 💕
Rather than being terrified to look at the tiny spaces through which you squeeze in I am more scared of you guys getting lost there. Sorry I'm new to this but it's still so interesting to explore caves!!
Most people visit knowing other people all got out alive. I'm rarely a visitor and breech of a virgin cave is what I'm after. To be the first of my species inside..
lol I’ve been watching “on the verge”. That channel has some insanely scary stories with visuals about cavers who got lost or stuck and most couldn’t get back out.
Worst nightmare for me would be getting lost in such underground labyrinth's (spelling?) with my light batteries going out. you can come prepared but still....s-it does happen.
Id be worried about crossing into an area that is easy to get in but hard or even impossible to get out. And not only could it be harder, you are likely going to be more exhausted. And going through these things could look one way going in and completely different going out. There may be passages that you couldn't see going in that you see going out. Then you mistake one for the exit route 😮
I don't understand how the heck you guys can squeeze completely thru some of those tight, can't turn around spots, with your balls as big as they are. This is the bravest stuff I've seen in some time. Beautifully recorded boys! Be safe and keep making good choices💕💥🙏🌱🌿☘️
I don’t know why I keep watching these videos my anxiety be through the roof it be feeling like I can’t breathe lol 🙅🏾♂️then I be looking like how can they squeeze through the tiny cracks it’s truly amazing and they got balls of steel
My mind is full of far too many “what if’s” to do anything like this. Like crawling through that tight space, I’d be thinking “what if I get stuck” “what if disrupt something and the roof caves in”. I take my hat off to this who do it, I’m happy sat on the sofa watching it all on RUclips
Mad mad mad mad respect. I don’t think there are words in any language to give the respect to what you guys do. I can barely sleep in my blankets with out freaking out. Mad respect more then I’ll ever give a professional athlete
I would NEVER do something like this! I grew not being claustrophobic, but now that I’m a lot older, something like this would definitely scare me. I would be afraid of getting stuck or not knowing my way back out!
You guys got balls as big as church bells. The stamina alone is impressive. You guys are able to do things that very few humans ever get to do. Be safe, gentlemen. Just dont get above your raisin 😊
I never really considered myself claustrophobic until I started watching these type of videos. It's even worse when it's underwater cave diving. Those send me straight into panic attack
I suffer from a panic/anxiety disorder so when I watch these videos of tight spaces I have to look away until they get to a bigger area or just pause it and take a long break before returning. This one and a few others I actually had to stop and take some Xanax because I could feel the fear building in me even though I'm perfectly safe. I truly enjoy these boys and their enthusiasm for basically everything they find. And as for the underwater cave diving videos... that's a big NO for me. I have a fear of deep water and drowning.
@@kspen6110 i understand the fear of water and drowning, i suffer from thallasophobia terribly. I can't even think of entering water that i can't see my feet. If i do get in water and can't see my feet i involuntarily bring my knees to my chest and form a ball which makes it impossible to swim, but i have irrational fear that something will either grab my foot and pull me down or that I'll kick something that shouldn't be underwater which is another phobia i have submechanophobia
@@gothgirl4evr782 dang girl. That's awful. When I was younger I would go canoeing with my husband and friends on the Weeki Wachee River here in Florida. It's a crystal clear natural springs. I never went on cloudy or dark water. If I go to the beach I always have a noodle or some kind of flotation device so I don't have to touch the bottom. I'm not the best swimmer. My fear of drowning is from my early 20's inhaling water in a 4-5 foot pool. I could stand up and my husband and family were around to assist me. But it was scary having the water in my lungs and not being able to breathe for a few seconds which felt a lot longer. Also my oldest brother who was a good strong swimmer drowned in his pool alone. But that was his own fault because he was drinking beer and had taken a strong pain pill given to him by a neighbor. I hear these boys talk about diving in some of these caves and mines. I won't be able to watch those if they do.
What I find amazing that as you enter the cave its a portal into another world. Temperature changes. Just rocks, water and everthing else that goes with cave exploration !
@@harryedwards9391 Can you imagine what this Country was like 300 years ago ! There was a May 7, 1722 ! Clean water , no pollution, no plastics. I swear I developed heart palpitations when he said "it helps if I get the air out of my stomach" I would just instantly die if I was in this situation.
I once took part in a cave exploration as part of a field trip in my freshman year of high school. I had to shimmy over a gap, and I was so worried my feet or legs were going to cramp up or give out on me, or that I was going to get stuck between rocks lying on my belly. I still think back to, am genuinely terrified at what could have been, even though that experience was over 15 years ago. Props to you guys for doing this.
@loganwalton8952 that's not true. American high schools have cool field trips sometimes. It's just a matter of someone volunteers to lead the trip and parents are willing to pay.
It's okay when you're with someone, but when you're alone, and you got stuck and no one knows where you are, it really really scares. Thanks a lot, after watching it my phobia increased 😅👌
Only thinking about the fact that I need to get back thru the same path, including those very tight spots again, send shivers down my spine. What about if the tight spots don't work the other way around? Or if a rock falls and blocks the passages? Or if you confuse the path and get lost? A sudden flood? Toxic air? So many things could get wrong.
I've been watching so many of your videos, and it's mad entertaining!! This cave was especially a cool one, with the stalagtight/might formations. Great content you mad lads upload, keep it up!
The tight space doesn't scare me, it's the fact that you're going about two hours into a cave system and you need to find a way to get back. The realization inside that "oh man, I eventually have to tunnel out this mo fo" is enough to make me clinch my pooper
That's exactly what I've been thinking while watching them. Like is it going to be just as easy like they made it seem to get out like they came in..i can't stop thinking about them going deeper and deeper in the smallest areas , How scary! I'm not going to lie though, what they experienced is amazing!
At least in underwater caves, it's essential that you unspool a line of string, so you can find your way back even if you kick up silt. But that seems like a no-brainer here too! If something happens to cause panic, your memory might not work so well anymore...
A lot of people die a horrible death doing this. Not that hard to get stuck, injured, losing your source of light, then you simply wait until starvation kills you in the dark while you can't move at all.

Literally all i think about is Nutty Putty when i see these kind of videos online.
It's all fun and games until there's a mini earthquake and the gap closes 😅

I watch so many RUclips vids of people who die in caving. This is the first normal caving experience I’ve had online. Incredible! I couldn’t do it myself but love to see people follow their passion❤

As a claustrophobic, I watch these videos as a form of exposure therapy. And despite knowing that I am not the one stuck in a cave, it still makes my heart race and fills me with anxiety nevertheless. At 8:46, I had to pause the video and take a few deep breaths before resuming. That was almost too much to bear. Seeing him wedged like that, crawling under a 7in gap.

You are not an *sshole, just a logical thinker

I never really considered myself claustrophobic until I started watching these type of videos. It's even worse when it's underwater cave diving. Those send me straight into panic attack
Same i started watching these videos and it's already my worst nightmare I'm claustrophobic now
Same here
I suffer from a panic/anxiety disorder so when I watch these videos of tight spaces I have to look away until they get to a bigger area or just pause it and take a long break before returning.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Only thinking about the fact that I need to get back thru the same path, including those very tight spots again, send shivers down my spine. What about if the tight spots don't work the other way around? Or if a rock falls and blocks the passages? Or if you confuse the path and get lost? A sudden flood? Toxic air?
What are they looking for?
For sure, it’s not the claustrophobia that scares me it’s the potentially slow and horrifying death that follows the claustrophobia lol.
Why do humans enjoy this
