TL;DR: Through April 3, you can get a one-year PlayStation Plus Essential subscription for just $59.97 instead of $64.99. That gives you access to online multiplayer gaming, monthly games, exclusive discounts, and more.

Video games have come a long way since the days of sitting on the couch with friends and splitting a screen. Now, if PlayStation gamers want to access a massive community of gamers, get access to exclusive titles and unlockables, and just connect with friends, then they may need a PlayStation Plus subscription. During the Spring Digital Blowout, you can get a 12-month subscription to PlayStation Plus Essential for only $59.97 (reg. $64.99). No coupon needed, but this sale ends April 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Get a year of gaming

A while back, PlayStation split their PlayStation Plus subscriptions into tiers. PS Plus Essential is the most affordable tier, but that doesn’t mean it won’t come with some exciting features for gamers.

First and probably most importantly, PS Plus Essential lets you access the online components of compatible games. Join up with friends online or play against strangers. PS Plus has nearly 50 million subscribers, so finding someone to play with shouldn’t be too hard.

Games may be expensive when you grab them from the store, but this subscription lets you expand your library of games every month. PS4 games are added frequently, and the library of PS5 games is still growing, and they’re all free to play every month as long as your subscription is active. Your subscription also gets you access to exclusive content like special character and item skins, cosmetics, weapons, and even more free-to-play games

There are some differences between the PlayStation Plus Essential subscription for PS4 and PS5. Both consoles get access to 100GB of cloud storage, but PS4 can only have 1,000 saved files. PS5 gamers also get 100GB of cloud storage and two new exclusive features. PS5 gamers also get access to a collection of 20 popular PS4 games like Days Gone, Detroit: Become Human, and Uncharted 4. Relive the best of the last generation for free.

If you ever get stuck in one of your PS5-exclusive games, see if there’s Game Help written for it. This new feature gives you spoiler-free hints and tips for some supported games, so you don’t have to look up tips and accidentally see the ending of your game.

These PlayStation Plus subscription codes are stackable and shareable. Get 10 and have your online play covered for a decade, give them to your gaming buddies. There are some age restrictions for who can buy a PlayStation Plus subscription. Make sure you’re within the window for your country before you buy.
