Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB) :

The Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB) was established in September 2010.[1]It was approved by the Cameroon government through two letters: the authorization to create and the authorization to start. The university belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Buea, with His Lordship Bishop Michael Bibi serving as Chancellor and Proprietor.

In June 2011, the Business and Research arm of the university was created as a legal entity by Cameroon Law, known as the CUIB Centre for Entrepreneurship, Research, and Innovation (CERI).[1]

Mission and Vision

[edit]

CUIB aims to train professionals with spiritual and moral values, emphasizing sustainable development practices, entrepreneurial skills, commitment to the community, and responsibility to the environment.[1]The university is dedicated to preparing students to be "Job Creators" rather than "Job Seekers," focusing on creating good Christian business leaders and servant leaders.[1]

Despite its relatively young age, CUIB has made a significant impact in the region, promoting a reading culture and contributing to the development of Cameroon [2] and it's doors are open to all those searching for knowledge, irrespective of nationality, religion, sex, race, and language.
