Totally. But also there was no more nudity in Queer from either Drew or Daniel other than Apollo so I can’t see how Queer would be more explicit.
These are 2 different movies based on different books by 2 very different authors. We're just talking about sex scenes and pointing out what I saw. Whatever lack of passion you felt in this movie is your opinion. I'am calling it out as I saw it!

Confession: This movie is so good that I forgive how rude Luca Guadagnino and Drew were to the fans waiting for them when I saw this film at the NY Film Festival. Only 10- 15 people was waiting for them and Luca just passed by everyone acting all too cool and too busy to stop and say hi , he just said I have to go " Ciao " ! . While I was annoyed that Drew came out wearing dark sunglasses ( it was evening already ) . I was like the fuck, who does he think he is. I wanted to see those baby blue eyes up close! He took photos with some fans in the front but ignored the people in the back, and just jumped in his car that was waiting for him . I guess if he didn't have those dark glasses he would've seen us.
But Damn, I loved this movie ! Visuallly beautiful and excited for everyone to see it! xx
If you're reading this..... Drew , I still Looooove You! Be aware of your fans, you're just starting out! You never know if a fan of yours waiting is movie producer or casting director!

The first love scene between Craig and Starkey appears to have been censored. We see less in the theatrical version than we did in the early clips that had leaked online.
I believe the naked man in the door is an extra. It's in a part of the film where Starkey leaves Craig. Craig goes back to cruising for hustlers.
