another set back for Qin. Riboku is proving a pain in the ass. Kanki should have ended him last chapters

Entire Ousen army desecrated.

How to you lose to a single guy with huge martial might, he just didn't have anyone strong enough to stop and hold back Shiba Shou.

Definitely not liking this arc as much as the kanki one, but it's still very good. Maybe it's because it's so early for ousen, but the kanki arc made me completely 360 into loving kanki, and all of his commanders. I don't really care about akou or denrimi.

This arc just proves how insanely talented Kanki was compared to Ousen. Ousen was utterly defeated in half a day in seemingly equal footing with Riboku's army. Meanwhile Kanki's army was ambushed and encircled by Riboku's army three times their size at Gian. Despite all of Riboku's many advantages in the battle of Gian, Kanki still managed to get within mere inches of killing him.

Riboku might've been correct on what he said regarding Kanki right after his army killed him, that they likely killed the most dangerous general in all of Qin. I'd agree with that since Kanki was the most unpredictable general anyone had ever seen in battle.

I've never cared too much for Ousen and his army but the big double page of the view of the defeated hurts.

@rational_psycho I like kanki but I guess tou is the most dangerous general in all of Qin

@AishaBi Tou is now the most dangerous general in all of Qin now that Kanki is gone. But are you saying that Tou is even more of a threat to enemies even if Kanki were still alive?

even Tou is not as tactically intelligent as Kanki in the middle of battle. Tou is very good at preparing plans prior to battle similar to Riboku though

@rational_psycho tou is not as reckless compared to kan ki that puts tou above him. Also remember tou was considered almost equal to ouki

@AishaBi Kanki being so reckless is what makes him so dangerous as a general. makes him way more dangerous than tou for that exact reason, bc he'll do tons of reckless and unexpected moves on the battlefield that the smartest generals would never even fathom someone else doing. a prime example of this was when kanki used sun bin's war tactic against zhao's supreme commander, general kochou during the battle of eikyuu arc

Tou is one of the strongest generals in all of Qin even when Kanki was still alive bc he was smart and extremely strong in battle just like Ouki. Gouheimei praised him for this in their joint battle against Chu. Tou is definitely more well rounded and the smarter pick when you want to pick someone to lead your army into battle

however if you want to pick a general who has the best chance to pull off a miracle, or the one that would put the most fear into an enemy commander, that would be Kanki. enemy generals know Kanki is reckless, so even if he's faced with a insurmountable threat he's still extremely dangerous. great example of that is when he was outnumbered and encircled by Riboku's army more than twice his size and he still escaped unharmed. then he tricked Riboku and came within inches of killing him. the one and only time that riboku was actually injured in battle vs Qin

I agree that Tou is an equal to Ouki, and I think very highly of Ouki. however I still believe Kanki is far more dangerous in battle than BOTH of them. truly a tactical genius on the battle that I believe was much smarter than Riboku

(btw, I think that Kanki is much smarter than Riboku bc Riboku is the king of prep time and home field advantage. Kanki meanwhile always fought on unfamiliar landscapes and never had time to prepare traps in certain locations like Riboku did. yet Kanki's feat far surpass Riboku's, in my opinion)

@rational_psycho kanki >>>>> riboku I agree because riboku had 6 months prep with 300k soldiers and still kanki broke through the trap unscathed meanwhile kanki with half a day prep time almost killed riboku. Infact if kan ki had 1000 more soldiers then riboku would have been dead.

But tou being more cautious puts him above kan ki.

Kanki can bring miracle to win wars but tou would never let his army to be pushed to a point where he needed miracle to win.

We can agree to a point that kan ki is better at attack and tou is better at defence

@AishaBi yeah I can kinda agree with that about Kanki and Tou. however, Tou has shown in the current arc that he does in fact take risks. but maybe they might not seem like risks to him if he thinks so highly of his physical ability

if u need to pull off a miracle, or fight in very unique setting (such as forests, mountains, valleys, etc.) then Kanki is the general you want. but if it's a straight up battle in the middle of some plains on fully flat terrain, then Tou is your best bet

glad you can notice how Riboku is lowkey a prep time and home field advantage merchant. he has no real feats. his biggest feat is killing Ouki, and he wasn't even the one to do. Houken did it. now Shibashou and Seika are doing his dirty work lol
