Article appears to be about a non-notable toy. No notability has been asserted. — Dædαlus Contribs 20:01, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Comment. Apparently this toy won an award from the Japan Toy Association[1], but I have no idea whether that is the sort of award that would confer notability. The references given in the article don't look like reliable sources. Searching for the Japanese name[2][3][4] shows either mega-notability or that the name of this toy is a common phrase in Japanese - I hope a Japanese-reading editor can tell us which. And, btw, where can I get this in the UK? I just love popping bubble-wrap (doesn't everyone?) so it would be great to have a reusable version. Phil Bridger (talk) 19:01, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. This (a link I found through Google News) indicates that they've sold over 2.5 million of the original and another 1.8 million of the edamame version. This says they sold 2 million in the first six months. There are also articles in the major newspapers (Asahi Shimbun, Mainichi Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun) available as sources through Google News. I've seen it covered on presumably third-party TV shows like Waratte Iitomo. Dekimasuよ! 02:12, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so consensus may be reached.
